Style & Size

1. How will my dresses be custom made for my wedding?
a. Our design experts will not only have the dresses made-to-fit you, but will also match the style, fabric and colors of your dresses to fit your wedding theme and your personality.

2. What is the difference between a custom-made dress and a standard sized dress?
a. A custom-made dress is made and fit perfectly for a particular size, body, personality and shape, on the other hand a standard dress is made using size chart to fit certain standards. At Johnny’s bridal, all the custom-made dresses are made for people who order custom made dresses.

3. Do you do specialty sizes?
a. Yes. We even do plus size, maternity sizes, and children’s sizes for flower girl dresses.

4. How can I measure my size accurately?
a. We prefer you come to our studio for the measurement. But if you are not available to come, you can take measurement according to our measurement guide or get measured professionally by a tailor following our guidelines and then send the measurements to us through email or phone.

5. I am not a designer. Can I design my own dress?
a. Yes. You can just send us a photo, magazine clipping, or a sketch. Personalized styles will take the same time as our ready-to-order styles. Bridal gown will be delivered in 1-2 months, and bridesmaid dress will be delivered in 2-4 weeks.

6. Can I have waist sashes and flowers made in a different color from the dresses?
a. You can order various colors and fabrics for waist sashes and flowers.

Measurement Guide

When taking your own measurements:

a. Make sure that you DO NOT ADD ANY EXTRA FOR EASE. Our expert dressmakers will do this for you.
b. Please use a soft measuring tape and keep the tape snug but not tight when measuring.
c. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.
d. Measurements are in inches.
e. If you have special size or design concerns, please contact us to speak to a consultant. Our tailors will prepare perfectly fit clothes for you, given that the measurements you provide are accurate.

1. Can each bridesmaid get free measurement?
Yes. Welcome to our studio to have a free measurement session.

2. How can I measure my size if I could not go to your office?
You can measure following by our measurement guideline or call us for the free consultant. Our phone number is (212) 302-7837.

3. How to make an appointment?

4. Can we compare the free fabric samples before ordering?

5. Can I get the free alteration if I would like to change after receiving the dress?
Yes. We provide one free alteration if there is no style change or new material added to the garment. (E.g. letting out a little bit or making it shorter/narrower) But the client needs to pay addition fee if you need to change the style, add new material or the length of the dress. The Client is responsible for the shipping cost.
